Ema Onigah is set to release his sophomore EP, ITEM VII, a seven-track project that highlights his range and continues to define his sound as an artist.

For Ema, music has always been about the bigger picture. Rather than dropping one-off records, he focuses on creating projects that people can sit with over time. ITEM VII continues that approach and gives listeners a deeper look into his sound, range, and overall identity as an artist.

The title comes from Nigerian culture, where “Item 7” is the moment at a party when food and drinks come out and people really start to enjoy themselves. That idea sits at the core of the project. This EP is meant to feel the same way. It is intentional and something you take your time with. The name also reflects the structure of the project, seven tracks, each one playing its own role in the full experience.

The lead single, “With You,” was released on March 20 and has already garnered over one million streams across platforms. It was chosen because it naturally stands out. It has a more commercial feel, but still sounds like Ema. Nothing is forced or watered down. The song has also seen strong engagement on social media, especially on TikTok where fans have been actively sharing and reacting to clips.

ITEM VII was put together with a close group of collaborators. Tuzi played a key role as both a producer and A&R and helped shape the overall direction of the project. Additional work came from producers Wademix, TUC, Arieenati, and PD, each contributing to the sound in different ways.

While Ema is fully committed to pushing the project and connecting with his audience, he is clear on one thing. He is not interested in chasing trends or compromising his sound for quick attention. The goal with ITEM VII is simple. Build something that lasts and grow a real, dedicated fan base over time.

ITEM VII will be available on all major streaming platforms worldwide on May 8, 2026.
