The Galaxy Music Awards just released its 2026 Nomination list, and for the first time in GMA history, we are witnessing very competitive award categories, which would make it difficult for fans to vote, as each category is packed with their faves. A plot twist: having Odumodu Blvck and Blaqbones in the same ALBUM OF THE YEAR category. We can only imagine what the outcome of this would be.  

Music Star Brite Benson got his first GMA Nomination for the hit single “Hello” in the GMA FANS CHOICE AWARD category tagged “SOCIAL MEDIA FAVES” The nominated song “Hello” has been a sensation online with over 3 million plays on streaming platforms.

Of course, we reached out to Brite Benson for reactions on his first GMA nomination, and he gave a perfect response (with lyrics from the nominated song): “Hello Hello How You dey Feel, Hello Hello How E Go Be” He then laughed and said: “See you all at the GMAs.”

Other artists that got nominations this year: Davido, Rema, Wizkid, Flavour, Asaka, Tiwa Savage, and then newcomers to the GMA Nomination List: OG Abaa, Prieest, Kunmie, Tuff King, Fola and Chief Priest.
